WIND FARM PUBLIC MEETING
21st February 2007
200 plus concerned residents attended the Public Meeting that the Parish
Council organised for the evening of th 21st February 2007.
Residents were asked to speak for or against the Banks Group Wind Farm Proposal

All spoke of their concern that the site was not suitable for many reasons: -
too close to housing
noise
too close to the A1
hazard distracting drivers
negative visual impact on a unique landscape
real concerns about negative impact on property values
damage to the local economy cause by the above point
damage to birds and wildlife
lack of consultation
District Councillor Geoff Walsh spoke in opposition to the Wind Farm and the Planning
application that has been lodge with WMDC for a Wind Measuring Mast 60 metres high on the
Westfield Lane site. The meeting was reminded that it is important to object to this
now (Planning application No. 07/00212/FUL).
